LÜHIÜLEVAADE: Loov-praktilise lõputöö kirjalik osa annab ülevaate Argo Valsi kontserdile eelnenud ettevalmistusperioodist, koosseisudest, millega autor musitseeris, nende ajaloost ja põhjendustest – mis põhjusel valis autor just need koosseisud oma diplomikavasse; ettekandele tulnud autoriloomingu tekkest ning selle arengust.
Argo Valsi looming on tunnustust leidnud nii Eestis kui ka väljaspool Eesti piire. Noor helilooja ja interpreet kirjeldab oma muusikuks kujunemise teekonda, otsingute- ja kahtlustefaasi; katsetamisi erinevate digitaalsete musitseerimisvahenditega; erinevate koosseisudega. Autor teeb ülevaate noodistamis- ja salvestamisprotsessist, publikatsioonidest ajakirjanduses ja olulisematest esinemistest. Töö lõpus teeb muusik kokkuvõtva analüüsi oma toimunud diplomikontserdist.
“Argo Vals” pakub kindlasti huvi mistahes loominguga tegelevatele inimestele, muusikaõpetajatele ja –õppejõududele, ajakirjanikele, kultuurikorraldajatele jne.

LÄBITUD ÕPPEKAVA: jazzmuusika õppekava.
SUMMARY: The written part of my final exam gave an overview of preparations, musicians who participated, the background of my compositions and an argumentation – what were the reasons why these acts were chosen to my work. It gave an overview about the songs that examiner had written and the development of this music.
In the first chapter I wrote about the history of the groups, which took part from the final concert, methodology of studying the songs, the promotional texts and the most important concerts these groups have had. Here is also an overview about time between the final exam and this moment, late spring 2014. In the second chapter I described the birth, development and theoretical background of these compositions. In the third chapter I analyzed the concert, which followed by a conclusion, referendes and extras. Extras concludes music notations, stage plans and a poster.
For my final exam, I chose musical acts, which I have worked on in Viljandi. This avoided some logistical problems. The rehersals were held in a half year time and preparation was thorough. The concert was in 2012 on the 30th of April at 3 PM in Estonian Traditional Music Centre.
