Kõikide palade teemalehed on esitatud loov-praktilise lõputöö lisadena. Epidemioloogilise olukorra tõttu ei olnud minu ansamblil võimalik Viljandisse reisida ning seetõttu toimub diplomikontserdi salvestus 16. mail Riias asuvas jazziklubis nimega M/Darbnīca.

SUMMARY: “Circle of Love”
The purpose of this written part of the thesis was to describe and analyse my music related study experiences and to give an overview of the concept, repertoire and preparation process of my diploma concert „Circle of Love“.
Preparing for the diploma concert started with writing the music and with the compilation of the concept. This was followed by finding the musicians, arranging the pieces and organizing the rehearsals. In the beginning of April, it was clear that me and by band cannot travel to Estonia for the concert and I started to look for opportunities to have the concert in Riga. I found a local sound engineer who agreed to take on the recording process of the concert. I described and analysed my music related study experiences up to now in the first chapter of this written thesis. In the second chapter I introduced the concept and repertoire of the diploma concert. I gave and overview of the preparation process of the concert and introduced my fellow musicians in the third chapter.
The repertoire consists of pieces that were written and arranged by me and the recording of the concert will take place on the 16th of May. I will share the stage with Matīss Žilinskis (piano), Jānis Pastars (guitar), Toms Kursītis (double bass), Pauls Ķierpe (drums), Reinis Puriņš (trumpet), Artūrs Sebris (tenor saxophone) and Vadim Dmitrijev (trombone) and the sound engineer is Pauls Dāvis Megi.
The preparation process for the diploma concert was very challenging and developing for me. I believe it made me a better composer, arranger and a musician. I enjoyed these three aspects the most. The planning of the concert turned out to be the most complicated part for me since I had to change the plans several times. It was also challenging to do it in a country where I did not have any necessary contacts. With that said, it was also a very instructive and valuable experience – I understood that asking for help from the locals is more than welcome and when they should have a chance my friends and teachers will gladly give a helping hand. I hope to share the stage with these musicians again in the future and I plan to write new pieces for the same ensemble during the summer.
